The Roundup: January

Cymru United against Cancer

We are thrilled to have won a competitive pitch process to work with Cancer Research Wales. This month we’ve been uniting the country in its fight to improve cancer services and win better outcomes for patients.

Our video featuring 15 researchers, fundraisers, volunteers, surgeons and survivors, kicks off this year’s fundraising with a call to action to join their Cymru United team.

Championing local authority fostering

A truly inspiring couple who have cared for more than 100 children over 25 years are challenging harmful stereotypes around social workers.

Told in partnership with Foster Wales, Chris and Jane’s story received coverage on BBC Wales Today and across the news network calling for more people to come forward as foster carers.

Lessons in local heritage

When our engagement team aren’t listening to people’s lived experience, they are out immersing themselves in communities.

Field trips this month included a special guided tour of Caerleon from local expert, Steffan Ellis, to learn more about the city’s history to inform our Newport place brand and marketing strategies.

Sound on the street

Our Sound campaign with Welsh Government to end violence against women continues this year with a new focus on public sexual harassment.

We’ve been encouraging men in gyms, at sporting events, and on the street to learn about the impact of this issue and join the effort to create safer public spaces for everyone.

The campaign will go live in February.
