Key things to know
The role
At Cowshed, we believe every piece of content should move people, whether that’s a national TV ad, a documentary-style case study, or a 15-second TikTok Reel. We’re looking for a Creative Content Producer who shares that belief. Someone who can pick up a phone or step onto a set and craft work that resonates emotionally, lands with audiences, and sparks conversation.
The ideal candidate will be a confident self-shoot producer or content creator; someone capable of conceiving a concept and seeing it through to production. At times, work will mean solo self-shooting – using mobile or lightweight camera setups. At others, it will involve leading or collaborating with a larger, multi-camera crew, depending on the scale of the project.
We’re looking for ambitious candidates who want to take on creative projects and push them further. We are looking for candidates obsessed by finding the story in every film, spotting hooks that resonate, and crafting films into unforgettable, moving work. Whether it’s a snappy 30-second Reel or a broadcast-quality ad, you’ll bring the same intensity and craft. We want a candidate who shares our belief that there’s no such thing as “just content.”
If you’re someone who sees problem-solving as part of the creative process, and who is restless to make better, braver work every time, you’ll fit right in.
Cowshed is a Real Living Wage employer, a Disability Confident Employer, and an Autism Aware Business. We strive to be culturally competent in all aspects of our work and work environment and are proud to be participating in Diverse Cymru’s cultural competency scheme.
We actively encourage candidates from under-represented and diverse backgrounds to apply.
If you need any assistance with your application, please contact us and we can make suitable adjustments. Our office is fully accessible.
To apply, please create a short reel / video (<2mins) explaining:
1) Why you are applying for this role.
2) Your experience against the core skills, including relevant examples of your work.
Please apply by 5pm on Tuesday 21st October – emailing a link to your reel and your CV to fiona@wearecowshed.co.uk.
What we need from you
The Day to Day
Work with the Creative Director to develop ideas and bring them to life: scripting, storyboarding, framing, editing, polishing until it sings.
Attending and leading on a range of shoots – from fast-turnaround self-shoots with an iPhone / DSLR to larger shoots with full crews.
Work with the Creative Director, PR and Campaign teams to craft content that earns attention and drives behaviour change.
Working with your team and across the agency to build relationships and collaborate on creative solutions for your clients.
Key Responsibilities
Own the production of films and content across formats – from fast-turnaround Reels to larger shoots with full crews.
Contribute to the creative process at Cowshed, developing ideas and bringing them to life.
Write scripts with the Creative Director, shaping narratives that drive emotion and clarity.
Lead shoots confidently – whether self-shooting on an iPhone, camera or directing a crew.
Edit across multiple platforms (Premiere & DaVinci)
Present work with conviction, explaining the creative and editorial decisions that make it cut through.
Create social-first content that feels contemporary, not corporate – TikToks, Reels, Shorts, and whatever comes next.
Contribute to new business with mock-ups, test edits, or visual ideas that show what Cowshed can do.
Collaborating with campaign managers to deliver against project timelines and budgets.
Amending and refining content based on feedback, ensuring alignment with client expectations. Will need to consult with clients to solve their problems, answer their questions and action feedback effectively.

Proven skills in film and content production: broadcast, ads, case studies, or social campaigns.
Confidence and creativity in writing scripts and shaping stories with a strong narrative spine.
Fluency in Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
Confidence moving between formats and styles: documentary one day, fast-paced TikTok the next.
Understanding of what makes audiences tick – you’re obsessed with contemporary communications and how to make messages land.
Excellent communication skills – written, spoken, and visual – to bring colleagues, clients, and crews with you.
