Schools are preparing to open their doors for pupils once again on Monday 29 June, taking small steps before the summer holidays to help plan and prepare for September. Cowshed is working with the Welsh Government on the Keep Education Safe campaign to reassure parents, pupils and the teaching workforce that returning to the classroom will be a positive step. We have been filming and photographing education settings all across Wales for their social media channels to help demonstrate why pupils are excited to get back to school and what teachers have been up to in preparation.
One of the videos features Millie, a year 5 pupil who is really excited to return to school. Millie can’t wait to see her friends and teachers. Although she has been studying at home during lockdown, Millie wants to go back before the summer so she can see how things have changed and how the lessons are going to be in September.
We know the health and safety of pupils and staff is the greatest priority, which is why we want to help show that they are ready for their learners to return and to Keep Education Safe.
