The Cowshed Chronicle: June

June has been a scorcher, and not just the weather. Here’s what Cowshed’s been cooking up this month across campaigns, clients, and creative content.

Relay Your Way on The One Show

As an inclusive organisation, causes like Cerebra – the UK charity dedicated to supporting children who have a neurological condition – are our raison d’être.

This year, Cerebra launched the first Relay Your Way, an epic inclusive relay spanning 33 days from Glasgow to Windsor bringing together thousands of people in a celebration of accessibility, adventure and inclusion and to promote their mission that sport and play truly are for everyone.

We’ve been supporting Relay Your Way with branding, press and media relations for the last few months. The beginning of June saw the relay launch and we have been all systems go telling its story to local, regional, and national press all over the UK.

After James and Jess from Cerebra mentioned they’d love to see the Relay featured on The One Show, we made it our mission to make this happen… and on Tuesday 17th, it came true. We couldn’t have done it without the wonderful work done at the Cerebra Innovation Centre, making the lives of children like Henry and Ollie better every day. And on an episode also featuring Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Jodie Comer, no less. Magic. Catch up on iPlayer here.

Cowshed turns 11

Perfectly timed for the Welsh stages of Relay Your Way, Cowshed turned 11 years old on June 26th.

We celebrated our birthday by walking and running two stages, in total raising a whopping £835 for Cerebra. That’s 173% of our £500 target. Bosh.

Thank you for all your donations and a huge thanks to everyone who has helped make Cowshed what it is today. Here’s to more work with meaning.

PRCA Dare Awards

When we created the BOG STANDARD we knew it was a winner. We were thrilled to win the B2B Award at the PRCA Dare Awards in Bristol. More importantly 12,040 bins have now been installed.

We also took home the Public Sector Award for our work with South Wales Police on Project Pinpoint, which saw Charlotte and Marcus shadow real policing teams on the beat. The campaign saw a 7% increase in reports of antisocial behaviour across South Wales, and a 75% increase in visits to the webpage to report antisocial behaviour.

And there’s the small matter of being Highly Commended for both Large Consultancy of the Year, and the Team, Culture, Community Award. It’s our team who make things like this possible, so thanks to you all for your work, dedication, and commitment to making Cowshed so special, year after year.
