The role

Cowshed has a reputation for delivering impactful work with meaning. Underpinning many of our award-winning campaigns is creative video content. We want to bring someone in house to help make the engaging and brave creative content that Cowshed is famous for.

You will be an integral part of the award-winning creative team of designers, creative directors, copywriters and linguists. Working with them and the wider Cowshed team to make amazing content that people want to watch and that delivers important messages.

What we need from you

The Day to Day

  • Work creatively to produce and edit engaging video content for clients, and for Cowshed internally.
  • Work with the wider team to creatively consider how to make each piece of content as engaging and relevant to our audience as possible.
  • Attend video shoots as Welsh Language support, thinking ahead and planning great edits.
  • Have a strong eye for aesthetic and visual detail to ensure a quality final product.
  • Transcribe and translate video content for subtitles into Welsh language.
  • Proficient in using video editing software (e.g. Premier, Avid Media Composer, After Effects, Lightworks and Final cut)
  • Keep records of your time and projects up to date using the relevant software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Output of video content for a range of clients and Cowshed’s own internal use, ensuring it is as engaging and creative as possible.
  • Ensure Cowshed’s photography and videography equipment is looked after, up to date and capable for our AV offering.
  • Work with the Creative Production Manager to ensure projects met deadlines and briefs.
  • Collaborate across teams to drive standards of creativity, looking at the latest trends and innovation in video content creation.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and make sure only the best work is released to clients.

  • A creative thinker who understands the audience and produces different styles according to the brief.
  • Good written and spoken Welsh with the ability to consider impactful content.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise.
  • A deep understanding of Welsh culture, with the ability to communicate effectively and sensitively with Welsh-speaking audiences.
