Cowshed supports guilt free shopping on Social Saturday

people-are-being-urged-to-support-their-local-social-enterprise-on-15-octoberWe have been working with Wales Co-operative Centre to deliver the Social Saturday campaign, which was started in Wales in 2013.
Social Saturday is a day for celebrating social enterprises, businesses which reinvest or donate their profits to support pressing social and environmental issues.
Through the creation of a brand new website, press and social activity, we’ve been urging shoppers to buy local on 15 October.
From cafes, vintage clothes shops and fair traders to leisure centres, pubs and wildlife sanctuaries, there are 1,600 social businesses in Wales. The sector in Wales is worth £1.7billion and employs 38,000 people with the help of 38,500 volunteers.
