Celebrate the end of summer at The Grange’s Amateur Beer Festival

From Friday 24th August until Sunday 26th August, The Grange are celebrating the August Bank Holiday weekend with their end of summer party and Cardiff’s first Amateur Beer Festival. With live music and BBQ food on offer in the pub garden across Saturday and Sunday, and the judging of the Amateur Beer Festival from 2pm on the Sunday, this promises to be a fun-filled weekend to round of the summer season.

There will be live music from Penarth swing band, St Louis Express, rock and blues band, Best Foot Forward and more. As well as a range of guest ales and ciders on tap, the pub will be serving up its full menu from 12 – 9pm across the weekend, with plenty of vegetarian and vegan dishes included. Weather permitting, the team will also be firing up the pizza oven in the garden!

The Amateur Beer Festival, with beers submitted by homebrewers across Cardiff, will be judged between 2 – 4pm on Sunday 26th August by a panel of prestigious judges including managers of The Grange and Lansdowne, brewers Crafty Devil and a representative from Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).

The winner will have their beer made by Crafty Devil and put on tap at The Grange for a limited time. The prize will also include a £100 bar tab and a plaque in the pub crowning the home brewer of the year.
